Overview

Intended purpose

The objective is to improve the clarity, consistency, and completeness of the reasons provided by panel members when making decisions. The aim is to strengthen the overall quality of documented decision rationales and ensure they are clearly articulated and aligned with relevant standards or frameworks.

To address this, the project will research and develop an initial methodology that leverages AI and machine learning to analyse decision rationales and produce quantitative measures of their quality. These measures will assess the rationales against predefined criteria or established frameworks, enabling a structured and objective evaluation of decision-making quality.

In addition, a technical proof-of-concept solution will be developed to apply the methodology to existing decisions. This solution will generate reportable key performance indicators (KPIs) that track and evaluate decision-making quality over time. The proof-of-concept will comply with all required data privacy and security standards.

The resulting KPIs will be presented in the form of a dashboard, with all information anonymised to ensure confidentiality and data protection.
